About Ion Drift

Ion Drift is a vertical space shooter with console-style effects: bloom-lit explosions, shockwaves that ripple across the screen and a nebula that glows when something blows up nearby.

Your ship fires on its own, so the game is all about movement. Thread through rings of fire from hex turrets, outrun homing seekers, collect cores to widen your spread and charge the Nova dial to wipe the screen clean. Every fifth wave, the Lattice Core arrives.

How to play

Survive as many waves as you can. Chain kills quickly to raise your score multiplier.

Keyboard and mouse

Mouse, WASD or arrow keys
Steer your ship.
Automatic
Fire.
Space
Release Nova once the dial is full.
P or Esc
Pause and resume.

Touch

Drag anywhere
Steer. The ship follows your finger with an offset so you can see it.
Nova dial
Release Nova once the dial is full.
Pause button
Pause and resume.
